When I receive a second call while on the phone, what do I do?

Utilize the Caller ID display to determine if you need to take the call. You will see the incoming number on your display and hear a short beep in your ear.

You have three choices:

1. If you want to take the call tell the 1^st caller to hold.
   1. Press the Answer softkey – this automatically places 1^stcall on hold and connects you with 2^nd call.
   2. When you are done with the call you can press End Call softkey.
   3. Press resume softkey to continue with 1^st call.
2. If you want to stay on with 2^nd call and hang up with the 1^st call, press the Hold softkey to place the 2^nd call on hold.
   1. Use the toggle button in the middle of the phone with two arrows to highlight the 1^st call.
   2. Press Resume softkey.
   3. Explain that you need to hang up with them.
   4. Press End Call.
   5. Press Resume to continue speaking with 2^nd caller.
3. If you do not want to take the 2nd incoming call don’t answer and it will go directly to voice mail. If they leave a message while you are on the phone, you will see a red light on the base of the phone where the handset rests.
